2019 Service Academy Graduations
Washington D.C. - Each year, Members of Congress are given the privilege of nominating candidates for appointment to four of the five United States Service Academies: the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy does not require congressional appointments for nomination.
Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) is proud to announce the graduation of six of his nominees from U.S. Service Academies. The cadets/midshipmen from the Class of 2019 are: <
United States Air Force Academy - Tyler Ullmann (Colorado Springs), Christopher Cos (Elbert), Isabella Farrell (Colorado Springs), Benjamin Jakeman (Colorado Springs), Joshua Turner (Colorado Springs).
United States Merchant Marine Academy – Christian Sucher (Colorado Springs).
In addition, Devon Klingman, a former intern for Congressman Lamborn, graduated in 2019 from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Devon was nominated to the USMMA by Senator Mark Udall.

We are proud of these exceptional young men and women who strive for excellence and who are willing to go above and beyond for their country.
