Congressman Lamborn Announces Staff Changes in District and Washington D.C. Offices

Washington, D.C.- Today, Congressman Lamborn announced the following changes to his Washington, D.C. and District Office staff:

District Director: Norm Steen (District Office)

Congressman Lamborn is pleased to announce the appointment of Brigadier General (Ret.) and former Teller County Commissioner Norm Steen to serve as his District Director, taking the place of Joshua Hosler.

Norm served for six years with the U.S. Army on active duty as an infantry officer and 26 years with the Army National Guard in Armor. In 2010 he retired as a Brigadier General and a Legion of Merit award recipient.

In 2012, Norm was elected to serve as a Teller County Commissioner and was re-elected for a second term in 2016. He has extensive experience as a small business owner, and has served in a senior leadership role focused on emergency management, long-term planning, and logistics. Norm has extensive experience working with both state legislatures and local officials.

Norm holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Public Administration from Kansas State University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College. He and his wife, Dr. Cheryl Steen, have been married for over 42 years and have three grown children and five grandchildren.

Military & Veterans Liaison: Gabriel Ballejos (District Office)

Congressman Lamborn is pleased to announce his appointment of Combat Veteran and Former Staff Sgt. Gabriel Ballejos to the role of Military & Veterans Liaison to his district office. Gabriel takes the place of Anthony Archer.

Gabriel Ballejos is a Colorado native, born and raised in Pueblo. After graduating from Centennial High School, Gabriel enlisted and served for over 12 years as a Cavalry Scout in the United States Army. He deployed under several units, including the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment (Operation Iraqi Freedom 2001, 2003), the 101st Airborne Division (Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan 2008, 2009), and the 4th Infantry Division (Operations Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan 2010, 2011).

In 2012, Gabriel was Honorably Discharged and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University.

Scheduler: Meghan Selip (Washington, D.C. Office)

Congressman Lamborn is pleased to announce his appointment of Meghan Selip to the role of Scheduler in his Washington D.C. office.

Meghan is originally from La Grange, Illinois, and earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Prior to her internship at Congressman Lamborn's D.C. office, Meghan interned for the Illinois Farm Bureau, and the United States Department of Agriculture. She will graduate in May of 2021 with her Master's in Applied Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
