Congressman Lamborn Announces Staff Changes in District Office

Congressman Doug Lamborn named two senior aides as deputy directors in his Colorado Springs district office and made other staff changes as described below.

As part of staff changes at the start of his second Congressional term, Lamborn named former Fremont County Commissioner Joe Rall as deputy district director with duties to manage and direct all mountain county operations. Rall, formerly a field representative for the Congressman, will direct Lamborn’s outreach and constituent efforts in Fremont, Chaffee, Lake, Teller and Park Counties.

Lamborn also named legislative assistant Dan Nordberg as deputy district director with duties to manage and direct all El Paso County operations. He also serves as the Congressman’s liaison to the business community in the district. Nordberg served as Lamborn’s deputy campaign manager from 2005-2006. Nordberg previously worked in Lamborn’s Washington, D.C. office as a legislative assistant.

Lamborn named business liaison Polly Holdorf as office manager. She will also assist in serving as a field representative to the business, education and healthcare communities. Holdorf also serves as a constituent advocate and coordinator of the Congressman’s Service Academy nominations. Holdorf has an M.A. in International Security from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver.

Lamborn hired Mike Burtonas a new field representative to the business and non-profit communities. Burton, an El Paso County small business owner, has spent more than 30 years in the aviation and aerospace industry. He serves on numerous local boards for faith-based and nonprofit organizations. He has been married for 30 years and has 3 children.

Lamborn also hired recent University of Arizona graduate Ashley Walters to serve as his outreach coordinator. Walters, who majored in political science, is a Colorado Springs native and 2002 graduate of Cheyenne Mountain High School.
