Congressman Lamborn Co-Leads the Introduction of the U.S. - Israel Future of Warfare Act of 2023

Washington, D.C. – Last week, Congressman Lamborn co-led the introduction of the bipartisan United States – Israel Future of Warfare Act of 2023. This bill aims to further collaboration on emerging defense technologies between the United States and Israel by establishing a $50 million fund for fiscal years 2024 through 2028.

Deepening this strategic partnership allows for both American and Israel to advance their military capabilities at a time when existential threats are increasingly making their presence known. This bill was introduced mere hours after the deadly attack on U.S. contractors and servicemen in Syria by terrorist groups supported by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC).

Congressman Lamborn was joined by Representatives Joe Wilson (SC-02), Jared Golden (ME-02), Jason Crow (CO-06), Michael Turner (OH-10), and Pat Ryan (NY-18) in introducing the United States – Israel Future of Warfare Act of 2023.

"As adversaries of our two countries rally at an increasingly hostile and capable pace, the U.S. – Israel Future of Warfare Act affirms that deeper collaboration on advanced defense technologies is imperative. I am pleased to co-lead this bipartisan legislation to strengthen Israel's ability to defend itself and develop technologies that will save lives and prevent conflict escalation in the Middle East"said Congressman Lamborn.

It is critical that we work together strategically to develop joint defense technologies to ensure we are on the cutting edge of research and development and a step ahead of our adversaries.
