May 21, 2020

Washington, D.C. -The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), the nation's largest nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating waste, fraud abuse, and mismanagement in government, released its 2019 Congressional Ratings. The CCAGW scored 80 votes in the House of Representatives for the first session of the 116th Congress. Congressman Lamborn was named a Taxpayer Super Hero, by scoring a 100%. This ranking placed him in the top seven percent of all Members of the House of Representatives and highest in the Colorado delegation.

Congressman Lamborn issued the following statement:

"It is an honor to be named the Taxpayer Super Hero and receive a perfect score of 100 for the first session of the 116th Congress. I came to Washington to fight Government waste, end unnecessary spending, and I will continue working to rein in bureaucracy. I am thankful for the work that the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste does each year."

Tom Schatz, the President of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, issued the following statement:

"We applaud Rep. Lamborn for his tireless work on behalf of the taxpayers while serving in Congress. His courageous votes to cut wasteful spending and make government more accountable should serve as an example to other members, challenging them to keep their promises to protect the fiscal interests of American taxpayers. We have no doubt that he will continue to help lead the effort to eradicate wasteful spending and bring fiscal sanity to Washington. His constituents should be very proud of him."
