Congressman Lamborn's Statement on President Biden's First 100-Days

April 28, 2021
Press Release

Washington, D.C.- This evening, President Joe Biden, whose first 100-days in office have been nothing more than broken promises, radical policy, and empty rhetoric, delivered his first address to a joint session of Congress.

Congressman Lamborn issued the following statement:

"The first 100 days of Biden's presidency have been marked by outrageous spending and the creation of an entirely new crisis at our Southern Border. The Democrats are attempting to override the filibuster, stack our Supreme Court, and make Washington D.C. the 51st State. Through all this, Biden has done nothing to stall the radical left's efforts and has governed in a totally hyper-partisan fashion. The only positive thing going on in our Union is that the full effects of Operation Warp Speed and the Trump vaccine are in full swing. Biden's next priority is just as flawed. His "infrastructure" plan is full of unrelated liberal priorities, with only 6% of funding going to roads and bridges. Moving forward, we must stop the reckless spending and halt the wave of illegal immigrants at our southern border."

Some of President Biden's Most Notable Failures:

Humanitarian crisis at our southern border
-172,331 migrants apprehended at the southern border in March 2021
-400% increase in the number of migrants apprehended compared to March 2020
-5,018 individuals with criminal convictions arrested by CBP in 2021
233% increase in Fentanyl seizures by CBP at the southern border

Signed job-killing executive orders
-1,000,000 jobs estimated lost because of the ban on new oil and gas permits on federal lands

Expanded the national debt

-$350,000,000,000 in unnecessary bailout money tilted towards blue states
-$2,600,000,00 in federal funding to political candidates over the next ten years under H.R. 1
-159% increase in gas prices over the last year

2,000,000 barrels of oil the U.S. will need to import from foreign sources dues to the Biden ban
- Commission created to study packing the Supreme Court

$2,600,000,000 - The amount a person can be fined under H.R. 8, alone with up to a year in prison, for the simple act of handing a firearm to another person
