Congressmen Condemn Anti-Israel Comments of VP Kamala Harris

Press Release

Washington, D.C.-Two of the co-chairs of the Republican Israel Allies Caucus, sent the following letter to Vice President Harris regarding her recent anti-Israel comments at George Mason University. The letter condemns the comments of the Vice President and points out the rising anti-Semitic wave on U.S. campuses and around the globe. Finally it calls for her to apologize, and pledge to fight anti-Semitism moving forwards.

I am extremely disappointed in the anti-Israel comments made by VP Harris last week,” said Congressman Lamborn. “The Democratic party is growing increasingly anti-Semitic, and I am deeply concerned that her comments will fuel this sentiment. It is abundantly clear that Israel uses its rockets defensively and is not engaging in any form of ethnic cleansing. Moving forward, I sincerely hope that Vice President Harris works to curb the rising anti-Semitic activity in her party, on college campuses, and across America.”

The rise in anti-Semitism is alarming and there is no place for it in our society,” said Congressman Wilson. “Israel is a crucial ally and I stand in full support of their right to defend themselves from attacks by Iran-sponsored terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. The Iron Dome system is crucial for the protection of Israeli citizens and for U.S. national security more broadly.”
