Gov. Polis Must Address Vaccine Shortfall in El Paso County

March 9, 2021

Washington, D.C.- Today, Congressman Lamborn sent a letter to Governor Polis regarding the vaccine discrepancy that is negatively affecting El Paso County. Currently, El Paso County is facing a vaccine shortage of roughly 25,000 vaccines. The letter demands transparency and requests specific steps that are being taken to address the shortfall.

Congressman Lamborn issued the following statement:

"It is deeply concerning that El Paso County is not receiving its fair share of vaccines. Governor Polis needs to address this issue and clarify how this mistake was allowed to occur in the first place. The citizens of El Paso deserve to be vaccinated at the same rate as those in the Denver metro area. This issue must be corrected immediately."
