Lamborn Champions Smaller Government, Named 2020 Taxpayer Super Hero
Washington, D.C.- The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste ("CCAGW"), one of America's leading grassroots groups for financially responsible government, named Congressman Doug Lamborn a 2020 "Taxpayer Super Hero." For the 2020 scorecard, Congressman Lamborn earned a score of 100 percent and has a lifetime rating of 95 percent since being elected to Congress in 2006. CCAGW advocates to protect taxpayer dollars and to eliminate government mismanagement.
"I am honored to be recognized by Citizens Against Government Waste and thank them for their work on behalf of the American taxpayer," said Congressman Doug Lamborn. "Our nation faces a massive deficit, and with the current administration's out-of-control fiscal policies, financial responsibility is more important now than ever. We must cut reckless spending while continuing efforts to grow the economy. I remain dedicated to these principles and will continue to advocate for eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government and at all levels."
"We applaud Rep. Lamborn for his perfect 100 percent Taxpayer Super Hero rating in 2020," said Council for Citizens Against Government Waste President Tom Schatz. "His courageous votes to cut wasteful spending and make government more accountable should serve as an example to other members, challenging them to protect the fiscal interests of American taxpayers. We have no doubt that Rep. Lamborn will continue to help lead the effort to eradicate wasteful spending and bring fiscal sanity to Washington. His constituents should be very proud of him."
The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste is the lobbying arm of Citizens Against Government Waste, the nation's largest nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse in government.
