Lamborn Named Free-Market Energy Champion
Washington, D.C.- The American Energy Alliance recognized Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) as an energy champion in the House, earning a 100% score on key energy votes for the 116th Congress. The American Energy Scorecard includes two different components, which are weighted differently. The first is roll call votes taken in the House where each vote is weighted equally against one another. The second component is the co-sponsorships of individual pieces of legislation.
"It is an honor to be recognized as a free-market energy champion in Congress," said Congressman Doug Lamborn. "For the first time in over a half a century, the U.S. is a net energy exporter and the world’s energy superpower. As a member of the House Natural Resources Committee, I will continue working with the Trump administration to ensure that America remains an innovative, energy independent nation."
"Congressman Lamborn’s voting record on energy and environmental issues is perfectly in line with expanding economic opportunity and prosperity, particularly for working families and those on fixed incomes in Colorado’s 5th district," said Thomas Pyle, President, American Energy Alliance. "His 100% voting score shows a commitment to his mission of reducing the role of government and advancing market-oriented policies, while also supporting America’s energy independence. He is a champion and I hope voters continue to send him back to Washington to represent their interests."
