Lamborn Praises Additional Healthcare Legislation

March 22, 2017

Congressman Lamborn has released the following statements regarding two pieces of healthcare legislation that passed the House of Representatives:

H.R. 372 - the Competitive Health Insurance Reform Act

"I am an original cosponsor of this legislation that repeals the antitrust exemption for health insurance providers and restores competition to the healthcare industry. This bill also begins the third phase of our promise to repeal and replace Obamacare by ensuring more stability in the healthcare marketplace. I look forward to supporting more healthcare legislation in the future that will lower costs and increase competition for a better market."

H.R. 1101 - Small Business Health Fairness Act

"This important bill levels the playing field for small businesses by making it easier for them to get affordable health coverage for their employees. It also lowers administrative costs, allows businesses to form association health plans, and creates a precedent for employers who want to purchase insurance across state lines. I am pleased to support this legislation that fulfills our promise to the American people that Congress will continue to enact legislation that makes healthcare affordable and accessible."
