Lamborn Statement on Anniversary of September 11th Terrorist Attacks
On the eighth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the U.S. homeland, Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement.
"It is essential that Americans always remember that day. With the passage of time, evil that was once clearly evident appears less so. We must teach our children that the enemy is real and cannot be ignored. This day serves as an opportunity to share with our families our love of country and our unwavering commitment to protecting it.
"I believe one way we can show of that commitment is to fully equip our troops with what they need to defeat the enemy. That should include funding for a robust missile defense system in Europe to protect America and her allies from rogue nations such as Iran and North Korea.
"Our children need to hear of the heroic acts of the brave firefighters and emergency rescue crews on that day. When you pray, remember those families who lost loved ones that day.
"This is no time to let down our guard. This is a day to stiffen our resolve to fight the enemy, wherever he may be." – Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05)
