Released FISA Memo
Representative Doug Lamborn (CO-05) is pleased to see the release of the House Intelligence Committee memo (attached) with the White House's recognition. Rep. Lamborn has been a strong advocate of the memo's release since first reading it's classified contents. He signed a letter to the House Intelligence Committee urging it to be voted on and given to the public. He called for it to be available for the American people and demanded the FBI and Department of Justice be held to the highest standard of transparency. The American people deserve to know the truth and read the memo for themselves.
Rep. Lamborn released the following statement regarding the House Intelligence Committee memo:
"The American people can now read the intelligence memo that outlines what appear to be clear abuses of authority within the FBI and DOJ. Americans have legitimate interest and concern about how government agencies work together to ensure the safety and security of the nation.
Most importantly, our citizens must have their constitutional rights protected. Any agency and anyone who steps outside that boundary must answer for it, and it must not be permitted to happen again. Releasing this highly sensitive information was done in a secure way to protect national security and in cooperation with all involved agencies."
