Rep. Lamborn's Statement on the I-25 Grant from the Department of Transportation

Washington, D.C. - Today the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) announced El Paso County will receive funds to widen an approximately 18-mile segment of I-25 from Monument to Castle Rock. Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) successfully helped secure the $65 million grant for Colorado's Fifth Congressional District. Additionally, Rep. Lamborn was instrumental in working with the DOT over the past several months to ensure this grant's success.

He released the following statement:

"It's undeniable that our district needed this grant in order to improve the I-25 gap.The USDOT's announcement is a huge win for our entire region. As I've worked with the Trump Administration over the last several months, my number one priority has been to secure this extremely important opportunity. I will continue working with this Administration to secure federal funding for Colorado's Fifth Congressional District."
