Republican Study Committee Releases Fiscally Responsible Budget for Fiscal Year 2020

May 1, 2019

Washington D.C. - The Republican Study Committee released its budget for the fiscal year 2020. Congressman Lamborn played an active role in crafting this legislation by serving on the Budget and Spending Task Force. The RSC Budget prioritizes the American people, reigns in bureaucratic spending, and cuts government waste. The plan calls for a balanced budget by 2025 and reduces spending by $12.6 trillion over the next ten years.

Congressman Lamborn (CO-05) issued the following statement regarding the 2020 Budget Proposal:

"I was pleased to serve on the Republican Study Committee's Budget and Spending Task Force. I value fiscal responsibility and a balanced budget. For too long Washington has gotten away with out of control spending. I am proud to support a bill that cuts trillions in wasteful spending while fully funding the military and a wall on our southern border. The budget also fights for life by banning abortions after a heartbeat is detected."
