Restore the Adoption Tax Credit
Rep. Lamborn sent a letter to Committee on Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady today advocating for the continuation of the adoption tax credit in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
"I strongly urge Chairman Brady and the Committee on Ways and Means to continue the Adoption Tax Credit in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The credit eases the financial burden families face when choosing to adopt, which opens the door for more adoptions and less children stuck in foster care. The option to adopt not only helps thousands of children a year find homes, it also strengthens our communities and nation. I am calling on Chairman Brady and the members of the Committee on Ways and Means to restore this credit in the name of American families. I support the tax reform bill released yesterday and believe it will positively impact many Americans individuals and families, but it could be improved with the continuation of this pro-family and pro-life tax credit."
