Washington D.C. -Today, the U.S. House of Representatives voted once again on a Continuing Resolution to fund the government. The Pentagon has started the fiscal year under a CR for 13 of the past 18 years.

Congressman Lamborn issued the following statement on the continuing resolution:

"This Continuing Resolution is yet another example of an ineffective federal government. Short term spending bills add to an already bloated federal government. With the deficit spiraling out of control, we must find a fiscally responsible solution to fund the government long-term. CR's are also incredibly damaging and lead to increased uncertainty for our armed forces. Our men and women in uniform deserve full funding so they can start new programs and face the growing threats from our near-peer adversaries Russia and China. When we fail to provide stable funding, we hinder our warfighters, erode our technological advantage, and hamper our military readiness. It is disheartening that Democrats have violated the spirit of bipartisan budgets in order to focus their efforts on a baseless impeachment."
