Statement on the Benghazi Report

Congressman Doug Lamborn released the following statement after the Select Committee on Benghazi published their final report.
"I wish to thank and commend Chairman Trey Gowdy and his Republican colleagues on the Benghazi Select Committee. Even after two years of partisan obstruction, they were able to interview dozens of new witnesses, unearth 75,000 pages of new documentation, and have presented an 800 page report that tells the true story of that fateful day in our history. It is indisputable that four brave Americans lost their lives because of the ineptitude of the Obama Administration. The report also makes it abundantly clear that Hillary Clinton failed in her duties as Secretary of State. She was tone deaf to the growing extremism in Libya and she flat out lied about the cause of the attacks after the fact. Even today, she dismissed this comprehensive report saying that it was, ‘time to move on' from Benghazi. These failures mean that Hillary Clinton should never be trusted with the highest office in the land and the sacred duty of being our Commander-in-Chief."- Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05)
