Washington, D.C. —Today President Trump formally requested Congress rescind more than $15 billion in previously appropriated funding. Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) released the following statement:

“President Trump should be commended for sending Congress the largest single rescission package ever proposed by any Administration. Given the long-term fiscal constraints facing our Nation, we should ensure that every taxpayer dollar is spent in the most efficient, effective manner possible. I look forward to working with the President to get this proposal enacted into law.”
